Location data
Your device location is used to show nearby parking opportunities, to publish an approximate departure location, and to coordinate an active handoff. Location is used while the app is in use and during an active handoff only. Precise long-term movement history is not built or retained.
What other drivers can see
Before a match, other drivers see only an approximate location, the type of opportunity, timing, and a reliability category such as Verified Driver. After a match, the two drivers involved see the exact location, first name, vehicle make, model, color, and the last four characters of the license plate — for the duration of the handoff only.
License plates
Full license plates are stored obfuscated and are never displayed to another driver or shown publicly. Only the last four characters are ever revealed, and only to a matched driver.
Vehicle and profile data
Vehicle make, model, color, registration state, and masked plate are stored so a matched driver can identify the correct vehicle. Your profile stores your name, contact email or phone, reliability signals, and points balance.
Operational analytics
Aggregate pilot metrics — such as searches started, opportunities published, handoff success rate, and fallback usage — are recorded to evaluate the pilot. These records store minimum operational metadata, not detailed personal movement.
Retention
Expired parking opportunities and completed handoffs are retained for a limited operational window for safety review and dispute resolution, then removed or aggregated. You can delete your account at any time from your profile, which removes your profile, vehicles, and coordination history.
Third parties
Mapping and navigation use Google Maps Platform. Street parking regulation information comes from NYC Open Data. Partner garages receive only the minimum reservation details needed to hold capacity for you. Your data is never sold.
